Matthew Pizzolato --- In addition to being the editor and webmaster of The Western Online, Matthew maintains his own website and writes a weekly NASCAR column for Insider Racing News. He is a contributing writer for Suite101.com, having written over 40 nonfiction articles for that site. His short stories have been published online and in print, appearing in publications such as: The Copperfield Review, The Storyteller, The Pink Chameleon Online, Perpetual Magazine, Long Story Short, and Frontier Tales Magazine. He has a story appearing in the upcoming anthology, Dead West: 13 Tales of Murder and Mayhem.

Michael T. Pizzolato is the Associate Editor in charge of the Art Department at The Western Online and is also the graphic designer for the site. He recently earned a bachelor's degree in art and journalism from Louisiana State University in Shreveport. He also works as a free-lance sportswriter for The Shreveport Times.

The purpose of the site is to entertain readers with excellent fiction and artwork and to inform readers about the Old West with non fiction articles. Also, it is an outlet for writers of Western fiction to be published in today's very limited market.
